ḤADĪTH OF THE DAY

“ 'Abdullāh Ibn-Shaqīq said, "I asked 'Ā'ishah Bint-Abī-Bakr a ṣ- Ṣi ḍḍ īq, Mother of the Believers about the voluntary prayer of the Messenger of God, peace and blessings of God be upon him. She replied, 'He used to spend long nights in prayer while standing, and long nights in prayer while sitting. If he recited[1] while standing, he would bow down and prostrate and return to standing; and if he recited while sitting, he would bow down and prostrate from the seated position.'" Footnotes: [1]: i.e. verses of the Qur' ān. ”
